Check out these new cufflinks......

I've got a ring mid-way through creation then it's definately time for me to step away from the snakeskin for a bit!

Featured on Dawanda and a new texture!

After the somewhat disappointing defeat of Andy Murray this morning against the skill of Roger Federer, I cheered up a little when I opened my email and discovered I'd been featured in today's Dawanda newsletter. My Falling Branch and Leaves Earrings feature under 'classic romantic jewellery'.

My attention was wandering during the tennis match and I managed to do the final filing and polishing of some pieces I started last night. I'll be adding these to my shops over today and tomorrow.

I am experimenting more with patinas and I think this really enhances the snake skin texture I've used in the pendant and earrings below. I've given the raised texture a burnish to really make the dark and light contrast!

In the run up to Valentine's day, I've added another little pair of heart earrings for the ladies which I'll list this evening.

Finally, I have already added these cute little lego cufflinks to my shops. They were a custom order which I've decided to create more of. The fronts were cast onto what can definately be described as 'vintage' lego, given that it was my childhood lego!! They have sturdy t-bar style backs securely soldered to them.

I'm in Etsy's voter this week and really need some more votes!! Please vote for my silver fingerprint heart cufflinks here: ETSY VOTER Thank you!!

New Copper Creations!

I've been playing with CopprClay again and created a new bracelet.

This bracelet was started on 4 December and I finally finished it last night! I love it though and will be keeping the one photographed.

I may try taking the photos again on a brighter day. I'm finding the winter light a bit of a nightmare for getting decent photos. It seems like there is such a small window of opportunity each day to get good light. I must try my light tent again!

Anyway..... the bracelet is handcrafted using CopprClay. Each section was cut free hand to fit the next section. I've used two slightly different leaf and branch textures on the sections. I finished the bracelet with a small square hand crafted toggle clasp.

I used liver of sulpher to get the dark patina and the whole bracelet has been given two thin coats of jewellers lacquer to protect the patina and against tarnishing.

The bracelet is currently listed in my Etsy shop and I'll be adding it to my Folksy and Dawanda shops later this evening.

My second item today, is a small Valentine's twist on my Copper Leaf Wing Bird. I've given it a pretty heart shaped wing! I will be listing it in my shops this evening!
